Ornate Empire Window Panel Slag Glass Lamp Picture(s) and Description:

This elegant, ornate slag glass panel lamp (circa 1920`s), was manufactured by Empire Lamps of Chicago. The slag glass is very dramatic colors of red, amber, cream and purples. No damage. The base is a very Art Nouveau design, has double pull chain sockets with new guts, and has been re-wired with cloth covered cord. Empire prided itself on it`s spelter combination that they called Brittania metal, for it`s ability to hold it`s finish. This lamp has a rich bronze polychrome finish in wonderful condition. I`ve included a picture of this lamp from an old Empire catalogue, as most Empires were not signed (including this one). The lamp stands 24" tall, the shade is 17" across the flats, and the base is 8 1/2" across. Insurance is included in shipping and any overcharge to your area will be refunded. Thanks for looking!
