Up for Auction is a RARE "Bradley & Hubbard" adjustable (task or reading lamp). This lamp is adjustable in height, and the Bridge is adjustable as well. The Socket is a Vintage Fat Boy "Leviton". Attached to the Socket is a Vintage "Hubbell" Metal Shade. Just Rewired, it is in Good Antique Condition & Fine Working Order! There is a small dent in the lower vertical tube & some dings to the Base, See Pictures. Very Nice Arts & Crafts period lamp. (Approx. Measurements: 42 "- H in lowest position, 58"- H in extended position, the Bridge & Shade Extend another 12". The Bridge can spin 360 degrees & it is adjustable up/down! This Lamp is Made of Bronze and Steel, See Pictures. Restored beyond it's Original Beauty! It is in Good Antique condition & Fine Working Order. Today their products "Especially Lamps" are recognized as Collectible & are highly sought after. From the Smithsonian Institute’s web site (http://www.si.edu/oahp/bradley_hubbard/marks.htm) (The triangle & lantern mark) The most commonly found Bradley and Hubbard mark is the triangle and lantern design. It was devised sometime after the 1875 reorganization when the company was renamed The Bradley and Hubbard Manufacturing Company, possibly as late as ca.1902. This mark appears on a wide variety of objects and was in use up to the time the company was sold. This version of the triangle/lantern mark is found stamped into brass cigar and cigarette boxes, desk sets, ash trays, Lamps, vases, tobacco jars, and candle sticks dating from ca. 1875-1940.
