"gone With The Wind" Electrified Oil Lamp From Virginia Picture(s) and Description:

FROM VIRGINIA: Gone with the Wind style oil table lamp that has been converted to electricity. This lamp was my wifes great grandmothers. It was converted from oil to electricity by her grandfather a number of years ago. Based on our age it would seem this lamp dates back into the 1800s. The original wick control is embossed Made in US of America and still turns. The original cap for adding lamp oil is in place and is still removable. There is no lamp in the bottom section. The control switch is on the bottom side and is a turn on turn off type.

Total height is approximately 26 inches. The diameter of the top globe is approximately 9 inches. There are no cracks in either globe. There is a very small chip in the rim of the upper globe that should be visible in the pictures (look for the picture with the sticky note).

Please do not wait until near the close of the auction to ask questions. I do my best to answer any questions received, but I do not stay tied to eBay for the duration; so if you wait, I may not have time to get back to you. Do not ask for additional photos I do not have the time to honor these requests, and what I do for one I am obligated to do for all, so this can get out of hand.

SHIPPING: Winning bidder to pay bid amount plus the stated amount for shipping and handling. This item will be shipped in two boxes, insured for $100.00. If any additional insurance is desired, buyer is to make request known promptly prior to final payment. My rates are based on using USPS parcel post. I only add a small amount to cover the costs of packing material. I usuallyship items within 24 hours of the receipt of payment (except for weekends).

You are responsible for returning the merchandise in the same condition as when it left my possession. If I receive returned items that have been damaged, then there will be no refund. I offer this guarantee for one reason only: I am an honest trader. This does not mean I will provide refunds to individuals that are simply playing the system.

Items that are received by buyer in damaged condition are not my responsibility. If insurance is noted as included in the shipping rate then I will aide you as necessary in your claim with the post office, but that is the extent of my involvement.
