Here we have a Victorian crystal-etched orange-tipped oil lamp shade to suit a Duplex or central draught lamp. The shade starts out clear at the fitting rim and changes to orange towards the top of the ball and continues to the frill, the shade is crystal-etched with panels of Victorian stylised foliage on a translucent ground and has thick, almost melon-like optic ribs to enhance and affect the light further. Condition, as close to the day it left the factory, usual tiny flea-bites and nibbles to the fitting rim, so small they are hardly worth mentioning, usual tiny bubbles, grit particles and slight flaws to etching, all part of the Victorian hand-blowing process, small drip of extra glass on the inside pictured, no cracks or anything that detracts in any way, a pretty shade! Dimensions, around 6" tall and around 8" across the frill with a 4" fitting rim. Overall a beautiful original shade in excellent condition. You are bidding for the shade only, lamps are for demonstration purposes only.
