c1902 HANDEL StainedSlagArt Glass Lilly Pad Lamp Picture and Description:
mkhda Store c1902 HANDEL Stained~Slag~Art Glass Lilly Pad Lamp~NR c1902 HANDEL Stained~Slag~Art Glass Lilly Pad Lamp~NRUp for auction is this great Handel lamp. It measures 15" tall. The base is 7" X 7.5" wide. This is a very imaginative and attractive light with the light on or off. A friend found a reference (please see pixs). This lamp was patented in 1902 by P.J. Handel. I am not sure how long the production of this lamp ran. Based on the quality of the workmanship as well as the porcelain socket I am certain this is an original, not a reproduction and as always will back this with a guarantee. I had this lamp re-wired using wiring consistent with the time period. There is a thumb switch for the on and off switch. There is six feet of cord. It is ready to go another 100 years! The base is solid bronze in the form and shape of a Lilly pad. The pedals of the lilly are alternating green and brown slag glass. The green have striations of brown and a little white. The brown has striations of cream. The glass is all original and there are no chips, cracks or other damage. I have taken some pictures in the dark to show off the great colors. This is a very imaginative and striking lamp that is a great accent piece.....on top of a desk or in a dark corner it is sure to draw attention. I have keep it on in my shop and everyone who comes in has commented on it.We will start the bidding with a low starting bid and no reserve! If you bid on this auction and do not win (even if you do win) please book mark us for future auctions. Our Return Policy: We strive to represent every item we sell accurately with photos and detailed written descriptions. We understand that seeing and reading about an item on the internet is never quite the same as being able to examine the item in person. So to help you make a confident decision we offer a 100% Unconditional 3-day Money Back Guarantee that you will be pleased! Our Auction Policy: Almost all of our auctions start at a very low starting bid with no reserve. This is intentional. We would very much like to create as much as possible a “real auction” letting the market determine the value. We do not shill or protect our auction sales. With this in mind it is not possible for us to determine the cost of insurance until after the sale is over. PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR ANY ITEM THAT YOU HAVE WON UNTIL AFTER RECEIVING THE INVOICE FROM US. NOTE NEW POLICY CHANGE: Please be aware that eBay has removed the insurance calculator from all listings. In order to protect the money you have spent with us we need to add insurance at the end of the sale. The invoice sent to you after the auction will include insurance. Be assured that it is not our goal to “gouge” our customers but merely to protect your investment. Our insurance charge is taken directly from the USPS rates. Thank you for your understanding as we make this new transition. Final Invoice: Please be aware that the final invoice consists of three items: the USPS cost, insurance & handling fee (low cost fee that enables us to purchase quality shipping materials). Payment: We would ask from the winning bidder that payment be made within 3 business days. We always ship within 3 business days or less. SHIPPING COSTS WITHIN THE USAIf your shipping cost seems high please contact us. At times the shipping calculator is not accurate. In addition, depending on the size of the object and where you live it may be possible to ship via a flat rate box. Unfortunately, flat rate boxes are not always the cheapest way to ship! SHIPPING COSTS OUTSIDE THE USAIf your shipping cost seems high please contact us. As with shipping in the USA the calculator is not always accurate. Shipping outside the USA must be handled on a case by case basis. Many countries have limitations as the size of the package and weight. Also it may be possible to use a flat rate shipping box.
