Antique Victorian Goofus Glass Grape Basket Lamp 1890s Picture(s) and Description:

Wow! This auction is for a very rare and very unusual antique kerosene lamp. The lamp dates to the 1880s or 1890s and is made entirely out of glass. The base has two handles and is embossed to look like a wicker basket with two long, thin handles. On either side there is a cluster of grapes and grape leafs and the piece is painted gold and purple. The paint reminds me of early Goofus glass, and it is indeed original. The lamp includes the original chimney and the burner is marked Queen Anne. It has an unusual brass collar and the entire lamp is in excellent condition with no damage to the glass. It does need a MAJOR cleaning, but otherwise it is very nice. The lamp measures about 17" tall and is guaranteed old and original!
